Septic Tank Pumping/Cleaning

Proper preventive  maintenance can increase the longevity of your septic system.  We recommend pumping your septic tank every 2 to 3 years.  Pumping intervals will depend on water usage in the home and condition of your septic system.  

When your septic tank is pumped and cleaned we will remove dirt above your tank exposing the cover.   We will then: 

1. Remove an examine the cover for defect

2.  Clean filters and baffles 

3.  Pump solids and liquids from the tank

4.  Examine the inside of the tank

5.  Replace cover and backfill disturbed areas

6.  File paperwork with town (if applicable)

Common pollutants that can disrupt your septic's ecosystem: 

• Garbage disposal discharge 

• Water softeners

• Bleach or chemical products 

• Oil or grease 

• Wipes/Baby wipes or paper towels
